Guiding Children

There is a well-known story in China about the importance of family education.
Mencius, who is known as China’s "Second Sage," did not like studying when he was a child. He often skipped school to go home and play. One day, when young Mencius came home early again to play, his mother was weaving cloth. She called him over, took a knife, and cut the cloth she had been working on. The nearly finished piece was instantly ruined.
From this silent lesson, young Mencius understood that gaining knowledge requires daily effort. If you work hard one day and slack off the next, all your previous efforts will be wasted. From then on, Mencius studied diligently and became the most influential figure in China, shaping Chinese culture for thousands of years.
Inspired by the art of Mencius’s mother’s silent teaching, we have designed this "Guiding Children" series. Especially in today’s world, where some believe that guiding children restricts their individuality in the name of respecting their independence, our design conveys a message: skillful education not only avoids triggering rebellion in children but is also the best gift for their growth.
