Collection: Daily Life
This Chinese-style design aims to remind us to rediscover the beauty in the everyday things around us.
Our attention is often drawn to grand things, and we grow accustomed to such stimulation, making what we own seem small and ordinary.
In Chinese philosophy, the distinction between big and small is seen as a product of the mind. There is a story that helps us break this binary view of big versus small.
Dong once asked Zhuang: "Where can beauty be found?"
Zhuang replied: "It is everywhere."
Dong pressed further: "Please point to a specific place."
Zhuang then said: "In the ants."
Dong was surprised: "Why so lowly?"
Zhuang added: "In the weeds."
Dong grew even more puzzled: "Why even lower?"
Finally, Zhuang said: "In dirt and waste." Dong was left speechless.
In our "Daily Life" collection, the main elements of the design are common birds, dragonflies, and lotus flowers—things we often see around us.
They may not be spectacular, but they are beautiful.
This design hopes to convey to you: what you already have is truly wonderful. The world does not lack beauty, but lacks the eyes to appreciate it.
