Always Missing

We often find beauty and comfort in other people’s lives, yet fail to feel it when we are living it ourselves.
That’s why there is a line in a Chinese poem: “Feelings become beautiful only in memory, but at the moment, we are unaware of it.”

Look at the design of the person resting in the mountains. When we see this scene, we often think: “If only I could leave the noisy world and sit in such a beautiful place.”
But the person in the scene is leaning back, supporting himself with one hand, filled with melancholy. He feels lonely and misses the liveliness of the crowd.

So, in the midst of noise, we long for peace, and in solitude, we miss excitement—this is the normal state of the human heart.
People often struggle to fully enjoy the present, and so, time and again, they miss the beauty of the moment.
